Experience
I received my B.S. in Biology (minor in Philosophy) from the university of St. Thomas, where I served as a teaching assistant for laboratory classes in Biology. There, I learned that I really enjoy one-on-one interaction with students and the opportunity to help them develop a clearer understanding of a subject I'm passionate about. I also led peers as campus President of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Our work included a two-week mission trip to raise funds and deliver medical supplies to a remote and underserved area in Peru. I also hold an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Teaching assistants and tutors were a great resource for me during my master's program, helping me move toward my goal of becoming a Physician's Assistant. I am grateful for that assistance and enjoy being able to offer that same sort of support to my students. Ultimately, I plan to return to academia. I offer tutoring services in a wide variety of subjects, including elementary, middle school, and high school Math and Writing, pre-college and graduate level standardized test preparation, Algebra, Anatomy, Biology, Microbiology, Physiology, Evolutionary Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and others. When I'm not working, I like cooking and dancing. I am also very active and invested in animal rescue.
