Experience
My love of teaching goes back to when I was a high school student. My peers would approach me with difficult questions in Math or Science and I would eagerly help them. The excitement and sense of accomplishment I felt when they were able to finally understand the question hooked me, and I wanted to continue helping others in their studies. I have had many opportunities to share my knowledge and to teach Math and Science at several different levels of education. The age/level of my students range from middle school all the way through graduate school. I am a knowledgeable tutor in a variety of science courses; however, my passion is in Chemistry and Math. Math is often times overwhelming for students, but I believe that once a base set of skills are acquired, Math becomes enjoyable. Math is a requirement for many careers, and I enjoy helping students to be able to reach their goals in school and work. I was awarded a Ph.D. in 2009 in Environmental Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. When I am not working, I enjoy outdoor sports, movies, music, and reading. I look forward to working with you as you continue to your dream school and eventually, your dream career.
