Experience
I received my bachelor's degree from National Chengchi University in Taiwan. After graduation, I accepted a position as a curator at the Taiwan Museum. During this time, the idea of a career in education began to interest me. This interest led me to return to school, where I earned my master's degree in Education with a specialty in cultural differences and linguistics at Rutgers. During my time in the United States, I worked as an interpreter for a variety of companies. Upon graduation, I moved back to Taiwan to work at the Taiwan Academy of Arts and the National Open University as an EFL and Mandarin Chinese instructor. I enjoy helping students learn Mandarin Chinese at all levels, including AP Chinese Language and Culture, as well as English.While I lived in China, I was able to help others adjust to life in a new culture in my role of a relocation counselor for expats. During this time, I was able to continue in my role as an educator as a substitute teacher at an international school. In my time outside of work and teaching, I enjoy reading, swimming, and oil painting.
