Experience
I'm a tutor who is based out of Washington, DC. As a tutor, I'm able to provide students with lessons in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lessons I've taught in the past have been in geography, math, reading, and standardized test preparation, amongst other things. I'm currently an undergraduate college student at American University, where I study international relations and business. My work as a tutor extends back to my time in high school, where I was fortunate enough to work with other higher school students in volunteer tutoring roles focusing on regular and AP subjects. I also have spent time working as an English as a second language assistant teacher for kindergarten students. I know that every student learns differently, which is why I vary my teaching approach depending on the needs of the student I'm working with. I strive to provide individualized lesson plans that allow my students to get the most out of the time they spend with me. I believe that every student can master any subject they dedicate themselves to, provided they have the proper guidance. As a tutor, I seek to provide the guidance my students need to experience long and successful academic careers.
